UKCLE PDF project

Project leader: Pat Leighton, University of Glamorgan (e-mail: pleighto@glam.ac.uk)
Project summary: support for a series of workshops for researchers in the field of legal education
Completion date: July 2001
UKCLE funding: £500

This project provided pump-priming for a series of workshops for researchers in the field of legal education, held in collaboration with the Association of Law Teachers’ Legal Education Research Project (now LERN).

The workshops aimed to:

  • help to develop the research skills of existing researchers
  • introduce new researchers in legal education to the range of research strategies and techniques
  • share research experience
  • reinforce the focus for research specific to legal education and extend the LERP network

A paper reporting on the workshops and discussing the way forward, Using empirical methods in legal education, was presented at LILI 2002.
